These drives are more or less just like any of the other 2.5” SATA II SSD drives out there. They come in 32 and 64 gigabyte capacities, but what’s different is they offer up 120MB/s read and 100MB/s write speeds.

No word on availability, but they look stunningly similar to the Samsung SSD drives, but with new letters on them. It almost pains me to write about SSD drives due solely to their high price and the small number of our readers that can likely afford them, and then the likely smaller number that have a desire for them.

Although, the benefits are high, so are the prices, so I really can’t wait until they’re able to mass produce these things for some more reasonable prices. I mean, I’d pay $100-$150 for a 64GB SSD, but the $1154 I found the SATA I version of this OCZ 64GB SSD drive going for is just plain ridiculous.
