OCZ have updated their DIY Gaming Notebook system, first unveiled back in May.  Based around a 15.4-inch WXGA+ 1280 x 800 LCD, the new system supports Intel’s Centrino 2 platform with the PM45 Chipset and ICH9M for Core 2 Duo and Extreme processors.  The original’s NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT video card has been swapped out for an ATI Radeon HD 3650 GPU with 512MB RAM.

Up to 8GB of DDR2 RAM is supported, and there’s a 2.5-inch SATA bay for your choice of hard-drive or SSD.  A DVD burner is standard but there’s an optional Blu-ray drive; the DIY laptop also has high-def audio, an ExpressCard slot, 3 USB 2.0 ports, HDMI and VGA.  Wireless is a choice of b/g or b/g/n WiFi, together with Bluetooth 2.0 +EDR.  Full spec sheet here [pdf link].

OCZ supply full instructions and there’s a list of validated components if you want to be particularly certain that your specification will work.  It’s available now.
