It is all fun time when gamers are building their desktop PC; OCZ would like to give the same DIY experience to gaming notebook. The memory company has been branching out to more sectors and DIY notebook is a totally new territory to them.

The DIY Gaming notebook can be purchase by end-user as barebones and user can add other components themselves. It features 15.4 WXGA display, nVidia GeForce 8600M GT with 512MB GPU, Intel PM965 chipset, SATA support, 8X dual-layer DVD burner, ExpressCard slot, four USB 2.0 ports, and a fingerprint reader.

Like many gaming notebooks in the market, the OCZ DIY gaming notebook is heavy at 7lbs with a 9-cell battery. OCZ will support the DIY gaming notebook with its tool-free support and detail building instructions. They have not release any pricing information yet; it will be available later this year (TBA).
