NWA "Straight Outta Compton" biopic cast fills out

This week the folks behind the upcoming N.W.A. biopic have released a photo containing several key members of the cast and crew. You'll see the director, F. Gary Gray, standing top center flanked by Ice Cube and Dr. Dre, both of whom will be producing the movie. This film is set to open on August 14th, 2015.

Below the creators of the film you'll see actors O'Shea Jackson Jr., Jason Mitchell, and Corey Hawkins. The first fellow looks extremely similar to Ice Cube for two reasons, the first being that he's playing Cube in the movie. Reason number 2: he's Ice Cube's real-life son.

In the center bottom you'll see Jason Mitchell who'll be representing the late Eazy-E. Eazy died in 1995 and was one of the most well-known members of the N.W.A. from the beginning. Below Dr. Dre you'll find Corey Hawkins, the man who will play Dre in the movie.

Director F. Gary Gray also directed Friday (a classic Ice Cube movie), Set It Off, and The Italian Job. Dre and Cube are joined by producers Matt Alvarez and Tomica Woods-Wright, while executive producer duties go to Will Packer and Gray.

"Following the meteoric rise and fall of N.W.A., "Straight Outta Compton" tells the astonishing story of how these youngsters revolutionized music and pop culture forever," says the official description of the film, "the moment they told the world the truth about life in the hood and ignited a cultural war."

UPDATE: @IceCube – the official Twitter account for Ice Cube – suggests that they're "Still looking for our MC Ren and DJ Yella."
