Unless Sony changed there minds at the last minute, the PS Vita will be using a quad core Samsung Cortex A9 chip and that’s coming out early 2012.

It’s just the 28nm Cortex A15 chips that are likely to be for late 2012.

The processor was stated back in July that’ll it’ll be made by Samsung for the PS Vital. So likely a yet unannounced Exynos quad cortex A9 chip, unless they made any last minute changes, while the GPU will be handled by a quad core PowerVR SGX543MP4.

In comparison the iPad2 is the using the dual core PowerVR SGX543MP2.

What quad will the PS Vita have?. That will be interesting to see when it comes out next month.

doubt it. if anything it’ll be LATE 2012 before another quad-core surfaces for mobile devices
