This card isn’t for gamers, well, it could be, but not really, and its not for the faint of heart either as most Quadro cards cost a small fortune, but for those working in industries that work with models and graphics that have hard core requirements the Quadro line holds what you need, this card is no different starting with a full gigabyte of video RAM.

FX 5500

On top of that it has a 33.6GB/second memory bandwidth and a 256-bit memory interface. It has two dual-link DVI connectors as well as an S-Video port (really?) and a mammoth cooler to top it all off.

It has a max resolution of 3840×2400, which is enough to power a pair of large displays or run one really large one. Applications where this card might be useful include engineering, certain parts of the medical field, and graphic design fields.

S-video is still a necessity for filmmakers – often times color correction is done on a standard definuition CRT monitor.
