We wrote about the NVIDIA APX 2500 a couple days ago, and Vincent managed to capture hands-on demo of the new mobile graphics chip in action. The APX 2500 is a low-power video chip that is capable of delivering 720p video.

During the demo, video playback is decoded using hardware rather than software and output was sent to a 60-inch plasma TV.
In the video, you will see NVIDIA reference design device that is not intended for production, but it gives you some idea of the chip’s capabilities. The reference device is based on an ARM11 750Mhz CPU and runs on Windows CE.

its comin out in jan 2009 aparantly unless a phone company buys it out
