It not just HSPA+, its the frequency that TMO offers it (AWS band), and NO ONE else in the world uses it.

Apple doesn't want to make a special phone just for TMO. But since tons of other Carriers use the same CDMA radio, its easy to offer to them.

I hope T-Mobile stays away from the iPhone. How much money does each carrier have to lose in order to be profitable with the iPhone? Apple continues to pinch every penny from carriers with their high margins for each iPhone.

Something's wrong when a customer can sign on for two years (in the case of ATT), break their contract within 6 months, sell their iPhone, pay off their contract penalty and still profit while doing so. And you wonder why these carriers are paying through the nose just to be able to carry the iPhone.

On top of that each carrier that has gotten the iPhone degraded their plans months before or shortly after getting the iPhone. You pay more and get less than what you had before. I really hope T-Mobile never gets the iPhone.

I think why T-mobile dosen't have the iPhone is that unlike Sprint and others, they won't go begging and spend billions of dollars to get the iPhone. Which I say is a smart move. Why? Instead of wasting billions of dollars to buy iPhones, T-mobile can use that to invest into their network.

Value plan. T-mobile's value plan is like the cheapest plans out there. They can offer these because they don't have to "recover" the money the other companies have to do with the iPhones. The Value plans are cheaper for T-mobile and cheaper for the consumer.

Will T-mobile get the iPhone. I think eventually Apple will make a T-mobile iPhone. EXCEPT that T-mobile will not officially carry it. Meaning if you want a T-mobile iPhone, you will have to walk into BestBuy, Apple store, etc... and buy it unlocked.

Why? Two reasons: 1) T-mobile can advertise that they have the cheapest plans. $5 for 200MB of data? $10 for 2GB? $25 for 5GB? $5 texting? $10 for family? You're getting a bargin. 2) T-mobile won't need to drop billions for iPhones.
