Now you can upload your Google+ videos to YouTube

Google+ and YouTube are both Google entities, and have a pretty close relationship already. That melding is about to get stronger, too. Today, Google is announcing you can port your Google+ videos right over to your YouTube channel. Not only useful for distributing videos to the world, it's also a great way to backup your videos.

By visiting the imports page in you YouTube profile, you'll now see a Google+ tab. Clicking on that takes you right into a new screen that shows you all your Google+ videos, letting you select which you'd like on your YouTube channel. Like any other YouTube upload, you can set sharing to public or private.

Google already messily tied the comments sections of Google+ and YouTube together, so it will be interesting to see how the vocal YouTube creators react to this one. Though just an upload option, anything Google+ and YouTube seems to draw the ire of both camps.

So why wold you want to do this? If you're like so many other Google+ users who have videos backed up to their profile, chances are the sharing options are limited. If you want to share it with friends or family, there is a strong possibility they aren't on Google+, so YouTube makes for a much better option. Making that easier is just plain handy.
