Novatel has announced its new embedded module portfolio for LTE. The new models fall into the Expedite line and are PCIe mini cards to add LTE functionality into new mobile broadband solutions. The modules include the E351, E362, and the E371.
All three of the modules are optimized for efficiency, thermal performance, and weight. The three devices also support enhanced GPS/GNAA capability providing positional information for navigation and location-based services.
The modules also feature Novaspeed for prioritizing network traffic for enhanced speed. The E351 supports LTE and EV-DO Rev. A on CDMA networks. The E362 has those features and adds global roaming with HSPA+ and UMTS. The E371 has support for LTE with dual carrier HSPA+, UMTS, EDGA, and GPRS capability.
