Notion Ink promised much and did not deliver. They promised very long battery life. Adam's battery life is even worse than iPad's. In my case, the tablet broke and it took months to get Notion Ink to initiate the RMA process, and months after they received the tablet, they returned it fixed. And it broke a week later. I really regret buying the Adam, and I am sure that Adam 2 will be no better than its predecessor.

terribly disappointed with notion ink esp whn i have been following it from early days n how the company has mismanaged such a brilliant idea...ok...these are small kids with no experience and not big investments...but they should have underpromised and overdelivered..n mayb they would have developed a cult like following for small number of orders and for adam 2 they could have hit it big..but they did it in reverse... they got it all wrong..this company will shut shop...not worth the time

I wish companies like notion ink focusses more on hardware and leaves the software as is. The biggest problem is that there are millions of tablets around , and just giving more ports and features is not sufficient, you want quality. The fact that notion ink says we will use tegra 2 , and we are using pixel Qi screen and all that .. whats great in that .. they seem to be more of assembling house rather than innovating and i dont think it will survive for long with the current mode of operation. But i wish them the best.

Indeed. I did notice my Adam performing quite well when I updated to AdamComb 0.1 (haven't even had time to try 0.2 yet...). That said, I really hope the developers get their hands on Honeycomb 3.1 before the end of August. It would be nice for the Adam's 'up-to-date' trendline to reach on par status by the end of the HSC. Google had better release Ice Cream Sandwich properly, not just to the largest companies.

Eden was awful, plain and simple. It crashed, lagged, and hardware acceleration just wasn't there. Try Adamcomb, I put it on mine yesterday and it's running very well (except bluetooth doesn't work on v0.2, but mine didn't work before so didn't bother me too much)

If you put the new Honeycomb release on it your experience will increase ten-fold. You can either go with the "official" Honeycomb from Notion Ink - conclave.notionink.com; the unofficial rooted Honeycomb release from tabletroms.com; or AdamComb which is optimized and rooted from tabletroms.com. With Rayman's new kernel breakthrough, it is expected to see FULL hardware acceleration on the 2.6.36 kernel! In short, if you put Honeycomb on your Adam, you will start to love it again.

I have an Adam, and it's OK, though certainly my least favorite tablet thus far (aside from the WiiPad knockoff from China).
