Consider for a moment this tablet has at least 3x the cpu performance as an Intel Atom and an Nvidia GPU making it capable of playing 1080p video so your idea of streaming video from a PC is just silly... the USB port would also allow directly plugging in a portable hard drive. If you want a laptop get a laptop... otherwise this is the sickest device I have seen in awhile the only one coming close would be www.openpandora.org ...

This looks like a very promising tablet. I will most likely buy. Especially for my ereader and web needs.

I ,however, am surprised that they haven't come up with a tablet thin client. I would have a desktop computer transmit wirelessly to the tablet its video. The tablet would also be an input device as well of coarse. I would also bundle the tablet with a docking station with all the normal peripherals of a laptop. Including a CPU, Ram, and HDD.

They Tablet would have very high battery life, because it basically doesn't have a processor or any real overhead. Only drawback is that it is useless on its own.

Typically, a start- up company like this one would go to some lengths to get more backing. However, with all of the setbacks involved, this 'company' is only harming itself. As far as the on hands demo, the Adam rep on the video had such a thick, and I mean THICK syntax, and the person doing the interviewing(reporter?) had such a broken speach pattern, that I was truly amazed that any information was eventually disseminated. You know, if I was trying to reinvent the automobile, I would at least wait until I could come up with a drivable version first, then I would get someone that could easily explain the controls(preferably an american if i'm in america).

I agree. Hopefully they'll release it to the public in some fashion or another, that way more developers can get into the fray, and hopefully produce top-notch applications before the official release later this year. Even if it's only meant to bolster their proprietary application store, that'd be good enough for me.

I can't wait to see what this platform is capable of and what software is written for it. I would like them to release the SDK to the public rather than the hundred or so developers that signed up. That way we may get some hints as to what added functionality NI baked into the Adam.
