LMAO, Unless you are waiting for the NI Adam in which case add another 18 months and you might get one through a shady pre-order. Seriously dude that must be the dumbest thing I ever read on this forum.

I was really interested in this thing but unlike most people wetting themselves for it I bought the iPad, I’ve been using it for almost a YEAR and will easily move it on for the majority of it’s purchase price come upgrade time.

Might be time for you to take your own advice.

seriously? have you looked at the “stock” android 2.x UI? especially compared to an iPad?

they had 2 choices: customize, or wait for Honeycomb. Customizing has put them on the market 3-4 months ahead of anyone who waited for Honeycomb. That’s a no-brainer for a product manager.

If you always wait for the next big thing…then you’re always waiting. Eventually you’ll have to buy something — or just keep waiting. The rule of thumb for product releases is to add a month to whatever they say, so you’ll be waiting at least another 4 months for either of those. You could be _using_ an Adam in a month, at less cost, and still have the ability to upgrade to Honeycomb when it’s released. But it’s your money, and you’ve got to be happy with your own hardware fantasy.

mimi has it right on. I was at CES and was much more impressed with the Motorola and ACER models. I would rather have Honeycomb and not some custom interface. I have watched the Adam for the past year+ and anxiously awaited its release. I love the idea of the Pixel Qi screen but the unit is not near as sleak as the Xoom or Iconia A500. I now plan on getting a Xoom as I think the majority of Adams fans will do. Kinda sad. Such potential wasted. A little faster to market and even the custom UI might not have slowed me down. But in the next few months I will have LG, Asus, Motorola, Qualcomm, RIM, Acer, and the Ipad 2. NI has lost every edge it had except the Pixel Qi and I have yet to see a truely unbiased review that makes me want the Pixel Qi enough to give up every benefit I get with the Xoom. Like I said, truely sad.
