Notion Ink Adam production prototypes spotted [Video]

We're still waiting to see a video demo of the new Eden multitasking system which Notion Ink has developed for their Adam tablet, but until then we'll make do with some shots of tooling prototypes straight off the Chinese production line.  The new hardware is functional – as you can see in the video after the cut – and there's even a comparison shot between Adam and a Nokia E63 to put its thickness into perspective.Video demo after the cut

Production decisions – on plastics, glass and other materials – will spawn another set of prototypes in time for a second opinion on October 22nd, followed by a final, third decision in November.  Then mass production will begin.

Meanwhile, Notion Ink has confirmed that Adam will have 1GB of DDRII 667MHz memory, double what's inside the Samsung Galaxy Tab and four-times what's inside the iPad.  That, in combination with the new intelligent process handling in Eden, should make for an interesting user-experience that could be faster than any other slate we've seen.
