I’m getting a little weary of all these constant tantalising details – just launch the bloody thing! Or is it more likely the thing isn’t ready – like the Commonwealth games in Delhi!
The big point for me was the pixel qi display – but if other tablets comeout with the same screen I’m going elsewhere.

i’m excited for this tablet as well, but the only news i want to hear about the NI Adam is when it’s going to be released. Colors? super, but low on the totem pole of importance regarding the product.

After seeing this. As much as I like to wait for Gingerbread, it’s a first day buy for me. Dual core processor? Hawt! Custom gesture? Sold! Can view flash contents? Yes yes! Highly viewable in sunlight? Take that oversize iPod touch. I’m exited… Very exited to know that it will exist in retail store.

BTW, the Adam needs a 7″ version for even better portability (and cheaper of course). Should call it Abel (or Cain).

The ones who wish not to wait for the Adam can definitely for the Samsung Tab, all the other Tab’s that are in the works are not as close to the spec’s of the Adam. Innovation’s take time to get to mainstream. Neither the iPad nor the other Tab’s which are coming are incorporating new ideas. All are just scaled up Mobile phones (iPod Touch). The Adam is going to set the standard for the technology that goes into a Tab, the touch pad at the back of the screen makes for great browsing.And with Camera that can Swirled It can be perfect to record an presentation while being able to take notes.
The Adam will be a perfect Tab… Just waiting for it to land…

How is a mobile dual core CPU with dedicated GPU outdated by any standards? There hasn’t been any dual core mobile devices shipped as of yet. The gold standard for tablets (iPad) runs on a single core @ 1Ghz. Even if the Adam shipped Q1 of 2011, it certainly would not be “outdated”.

Also, get your (known) facts about Gingerbread straight. The resolution is 1280 x 760, not 720, and it will carry SUPPORT for that resolution for devices other then smartphones. It is NOT a minimum requirement.

I was stoked when I first read about the notion ink adam, but frankly now after this huge wait I would not buy one. The tegra 2 soc will be hopelessly outdated by the time this thing launches, and the pixel qi display’s resolution is too low for android 3.0 (minimum requirement is 1280×720). Them telling me its gonna come in multiple colors justs makes me think they have been wasting time on trivial aspects of the design. I would have purchased this 6 months ago, but now? Absolutely not…. maybe an Adam 2, but thats a big if.
