I wonder if teenagers are running the show at Notion Ink. I realize it is not easy for a start-up to play against Apple and the other big boys in the tablet space. But NI’s mis-steps have nothing to do with it being a start-up. It’s the mixed and contradictory messaging, not owning up to mistakes, poor customer service, over promising and under delivering etc. It’s funny to see fan boys justifying behaviour that they won’t tolerate from another person, let alone a company you pay good money to.

I couldn’t agree more, and while I try to support innovation and competition from up and comers, the unpreparedness of this company is bewildering.

These guys are teetering on the brink, and need either a CEO who is better at blowing hot air and spinning situations, or to just keep things a little quieter until they are really ready.

I think it’s humorous that all these guys are giving thumbs down to any negative or slightly negative post, hell they even turn the thumbs at posts that are neither positive or negative.

This has been going on since the inception and I’ve got news for you, no amount of national pride is going to turn normal folks into mindless NI fan-boys….

A lot of people like me set out on this journey over a year ago, following NI with anticipation… then the continual spewing of propaganda/spam got old. All the push-backs, the delays, the pre-order debacle, sorry I’ve had enough. Always a reason that had to be made public, “it’s not our fault” “it’s the investors, no it’s the FCC, no it’s… whatever” sorry just seems like a bunch of amateurs that don’t know how to run a business.

Bottom line at this point, the trains gone… Hardware is not really going to out-spec anything when it gets released, it still has the cool screen, which is very nice, I wish other vendors would take the hint that people want this, but the UI? It’s ok, but it’s not some awe inspiring game changing piece of technology like they try to sell us on. And really thats what gets me the most, this whole initiative, it’s honestly being approached like some pushy car salesman. So sorry, when this thing actually hits, after all the hullabaloo and silly thumbs down antics by the NI community here, the daily brainwashing, the useless silly demo’s, you can shove it down my throat all you want, I’m still going to say, I’ll pass..

If just getting the thing to market has shed light on just how unprepared this company was, what are we not privy to? Was production up to snuff? How will warranties be handeld? Will it explode in a year after normal wear and tear?
