It's just amazing how any product, which has edge against iPad (and Nook Tablet definitely has), is self-devastated with lackluster advertising... I still get a shiver sometimes when I remember original Xoom ads...

More to that, this product is just one more brick in the fragmentation walls... Amazon, B&N and whoever else it is are so busy with building locked-down devices with bastardized forks of Android, hardwired with all sorts of abominable UIs, while iPad is slowly chewing on their market share in their native digital content distribution.

And all this is due to the sheer love for control over their content.. They don't want to compete as a distribution services by creating top quality apps and portals to sell their media on any Android Tablet, they want to sell their own tin box, where all your purchases with them will be locked with the keys _they_ have.

Nook was and is success, but how long will it last?

So like Kobo, they don't emphasise the screen. They mention VividView, but don't say anything about sunlight. Had to go to the website to read up on it.

This makes it a bit more challenging, $250 for the Nook Tablet which I'll definitely have to root, or $200 for the Kobo Vox with less limitations (not to mention the Vox looks better).
