Nook for Windows 8.1 app available in 32 countries and 21 languages

Barnes & Noble has offered its digital reader called the Nook for a while. The Nook has never had the popularity of the Kindle line of digital readers, but Nook devices have sold well. Barnes & Noble also makes several Nook apps to allow users of various mobile devices and computers to read digitally.

Back in October, Barnes & Noble announced the official launch of the Nook app for Windows 8.1 users. The app brought with it a new and streamlined user interface, better performance, and a bunch of other features that highlighted the functionality of Windows 8.1.

Barnes & Noble has announced that the Nook App for Windows 8.1 is now available for users of Windows 8.1 on tablets and PCs in 32 countries around the world. The app is also offered in 21 languages and with customized local market storefronts.

Storefronts with localized content offerings are available in Australia, Belgium, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom and the United States. The app supports streaming and shopping and has the ability to import ePub and PDF files from My PC and SkyDrive and have them appear in the Nook library.
