Hi Diarmuid,

There have been quite a few reported issues with Opera on both the N800 and 770 predecessor. Mike Cane (http://mikecane.wordpress.com/) has plenty to say on the subject, while other users have had problems accessing some of Google’s suite, YouTube and issues with RSS crashing. A search on Google or among the forums will turn up much of this.

Anyway, it’s always good to have a choice of browsers, so fair play to Nokia for the upgrade.

Oh, and let’s not forget that the new browser needs the latest firmware “upgrade” for the Internet Tablet. Yes, that’s the firmware “upgrade” that potentially will destroy your memory card beyond repair.

Oh, but the odds of having your cards hosed are very small, so there’s no reason not to “upgrade”, right?
