Real games are played on a high end PC or a console...every phone game ever made sucks in comparison, that being said..the phone games MS has trump anything ios or android have, but I am sure you missed that in your fanboy anger.

Also, specs dont mean crap. An efficient OS will run the same with a clock matched to its performance then a resource hog OS a clock to match..the difference is a phone sized battery has a finite amount of juice.

It is all perspective and how the phone is meant to be set up...but you would not understand that, I would go ask your grandma what that means.

Nokia needs to nail camera system (they pretty much always do). Nokia + Microsoft also have a lot of work cut out to rope in developers to get quality apps. Nokia can try to entice the Symbian community to write apps for WP7 (using Qt?). With good apps + Nokia Maps + excellent camera should get people interested. However all this will take time.

But as long as they are able to keep the buzz going, it will keep a lot of buyers interested, especially considering WP7 has a unique interface, good integration with Xbox, Zune music + excellent Nokia hardware.

And Microsoft MUST ensure that system upgrades are pushed out to Nokia handsets as soon as possible and not let carrier control the upgrades. This will definitely help Nokia showcase what their hardware can do.

Good luck guys.

I hope Nokia can make a go of this OS transition; they have made great hardware in the past. Nokia needed to move on, but will Microsoft give them the support and Apps environment needed to make WP shine against Ice Cream and iOS5?

Sad that the obvious escapes some people...but that is why I am here to help.

First of all the baby crap blue is not the color represented here. It IS a picture of the blue used for the phone but the contrast and exposure are WAY up. This looks nothing like the color of the phone.

Secondly the back looks just fine. Get off your fanboy bias and just admit that whatever you currently use, is about to look 10 years outdated.

MayaNormusbutt speaks the truth. The windows phone not only runs as smooth (if not smoother) then ios but is much much more stable.

MS is a sleeping giant who is about to wake up.

The only people whom I have met who dont like the windows phone UI are:
A. Obvious fanbois who wouldn't admit to anything being better then their OS choice.
B. People that have not used the windows phone OS.

At least, it will be in the hands of someone who actually loves this marvelous OS.

Sorry but non of that makes any sense. Android/Google has openly insulted Nokia after the Windows Phone strategic change, Nokia World has like 4-5 Microsoft speakers, the event will be all about Nokia+Microsoft.
Even if Nokia has Qt (and possible Swipe UI) plans with Meltemi project, Nokia World isn't the place to announce anything concerning that.

Lets just say man... Nokia is going to be epic... what you though and you've heard about them is all going to change. when nokia said bringing "new OEM(s)" They are specifically talking about one thing, something that has been reported yet in any recent articles. Think ANDy and N0kiA on the same page. This is what i've been working on with N and G00g for the past couple of months exclusively.

WOW, that N9 picture there is stunning.

In regard to the article, i don't think 2011 is the be or not to be for nokia, it's the next year, when WP is going to catch up/be competitive with android and iOS in the hardware specs race, no matter how meaningless it may be (dual core).

I am open to WP Nokia as long as it does not crash like Symbian. A dual core would be nice, especially if the future N8 will record 1080p. Android Nokia would be also nice but form this point we all know that is impossible. Lastly, I wish it would match the price of Samsung S2 or cheaper.

Who expects sales of Nokia WP to dabble and fail? You? Fandroids? LOL

Look, truth is that 99% of people who have actually USED a WP device have been blown away by the experience, and that includes some rabid iFan bloggers (respect to them for their honesty). As soon as those millions of customers that Nokia has fed for years get a hold of a WP device... they're never going to miss Symbian crap. They're going to fall in love with their new phones.

It certainaly not the end of Nokia if as expected sales of nokia's dabble in winphone 7.5 fails. Symbian isn't a failure.

Elop created that mirage, he set fire something that won't die. That said he has created problems for nokia and its relationship with distribution and networks alike.

Meego was a failure from the start, continuing with maemo's ui and adding swipe would have been better.

Question is when will Nokia's board have the guts in removing Elop.
