If Apple comes behind Nokia for this , Apple will find 100 reasons for nokia to be behind able in patents in telecommunications area and Apple had almost touched 90% Microsoft patents in software. Breathe a life !!!

Dont think people had bought iPhone because of Siri or Retina display. The intial touch interface was block buster, then there were no players for some time to compete, but now the game had changed. Seriously doubt Septemper 12 they can do wonders. But they will try for it for sure. Now Windows Phone is leading the pack with features and usability . No doubt. But not necessarily its reflected in market share.

And its been happening with every new phone. See how iPhones market share is plunging now. Last 6 months they sold good numbers but when you take the market share others had sold incredibly well. If you take Windows Phones they have been doing at a rate of 200% or so, they started from 0% but 200% growth is awesome that too in this already crowded market and being late to the party !!!

I agree. Tiles are flat. But dont you think they are better than static icons?
Just an opinion. Cant understand why everyone thinks its boring. It gives devs a lot of options. IMO devs are yet to use live tiles to their full potential.

It will depend on what Apple will be delivering on Sep
12th. I think Apple knows about the stiff competition and has something
unique to offer on that day to convince its client base that they still lead
this industry. Like when they didn’t had
anything concrete on their hardware they release SIRI. Before that they release Retina Display and
Facetime.

It is not necessarily be an innovation, but if Apple did
focus on something and continue to convince that they had mastered some
specific feature, they will still be the king.

And believe me, they will release the at least one feature (that not necessarily new but none of the current vendors are focusing on) to convince the users that they need to switch to the latest and the
greatest i.e. the new iPhone.

Maybe – if you wouldn’t all spoke in platitudes – Raymond Tu has a point. These new Nokia-Microsoft products could potentially take some market-share from Apple, certainly if they deliver on area’s were Apple shines: exclusivity, unmatched user experience and feel and inventiveness. Like Raymond Tu said, “if the rumors are true”, these
Nokia-Microsoft products provide these qualities and therefore could take some away from Apple.

the only way to take apple down a notch is for them to continue to press their own services on people and continue to fail in software innovation. I hope this happens. I would also like to see another antennagate except this time it would be nice if the news would catch them in the act and push the story.

I hope Windows comes back with a bang in smart phones and tablets because I am tired of Apple (with the restrictions and connections, file formats and expensive utilities/software – I have to pay $15 just to be able to read/write to NTFS USB drive) and of Google (they treat me as their personal property – selling all my info to everyone in the entire world).
