Or a desperate attempt to get a carrier to take a WP7 phone onto their network !?!?!?
A sign that the carriers are winning the battle with MS to keep Skype off their networks.
Unfortunately too late, as Nokia are past the point of no return. Their suppliers will start to withhold shipments, demand upfront payments and quickly kill Nokia off before year end as they run out of cash.

Skype on Windows Phone 7.5 is a joke anyway.

Windows Phone 8 will tell whether Skype is usable under Windows Phone.

So what they’re saying is that *THIS YEAR’S PHONE* already can’t run the latest software?

That doesn’t bode well for the future. Next time, Nokia, spend the €2 and put enough RAM in the phone!
