The power of Nokia design will manifest itself at CES and at Nokia world. I predict that Nokia by 3rd quarter 2012 will have windows smart phones on the market that are so good they will equal the best Android has to offer. Apple smart phone lovers will also be stunned by how good these phones are . Microsoft windows smart phones will get the power and the glory technologically speaking that they need to propel Microsoft to be the true 3rd smart phone eco system.Microsoft smart phones will go up from then on and be known world wide as good smart phones though Nokia’s large world wide phone sales network. America is not the world Nokia is a world wide well known and respected.Company

Apple and Android prove that’s there’s always room for another manufacturer with better ideas. Only the paranoid survive in technology. Just wait for 2013-5 and they’ll be piles of iPhones and Droid robots in the land fills.

Android and iOS are Linux clones with legacy icon user interfaces that Microsoft’s updating to a better touch based paradigm. Nokia’s already signed up for Ericson n-core Thor and Nvidia chips. Apple’s reigns for gamers and the techincally passe. Get an Xbox, Kinect and WP phone and join the 21st century.

Totally agree. There’s a whole bunch of featured phone users that have been watching and waiting for a major familiar brand to catchup with Apple and really don’t want to be a droid robot. Windows 8 unites all PCs including phones and tablets with an innovator UI.

What the under 30 age group doesn’t realize is that there is a HUGE market willing to accept Microsoft being the thread that sews up everything from their desktop-laptop-slate on down to to their phone. This market doesn’t “get” Google, and was trained by business not to give Apple the time of day.

There is very little Nokia can do to innovate within the WP space. The OS is barely at feature phone level (far behind of Android and iOS). The hardware specs are ridiculous. The only “fast” thing in the WP is the Metro UI access shell. The kernel is still not any faster, nor require any less memory. And this shows in the browsing and heavy app tests.

I think Nokia could change their product launch motto to “Amazing Yesterday”, because that’s what they are rapidly becoming with WP.
