If it has all the functionality and features of the N900 + Enhancements Then I will certainly buy it.
The N900 is the best device I’ve ever owned, there’s nothing else in the market for techies.

Although the N950 will have to have a HW keyboard otherwise it’s a no go and I’ll be sticking with the N900

i will buy the n950. i will buy it because it will be the last true nokia device before microsoft takes over and tanks nokia handsets forever. the market and the developer community hate windows mobile devices, always has hated them, always will.

on a side note, as a developer and a tinkerer myself, i feel the meego community will continue our efforts, and since it is totally open, windows phone may decide to adopt a lot of the meego progressions. that, or they will bankrupt nokia.

My N900 was/is the best device I’ve owned. Even with half baked support as many have put it. I say bring it on, give the community a chance to show the Industry even more compelling possibilities. We are MeeGo :)

Happy to hear about a Meego handset from Nokia but I also am gonna be disappointed if it gets the second class attention that the N900 did (does.) I love my N900 but some things on Nokia’s part could definitely be better.
And no physical keyboard? You better rethink that Nokia. Ever try typing in lines of code with a freaking soft keyboard? There’s no way in he** any kind of geek wants to try that when a keyboard like the N900′s is easy to use and provides instant feedback.

I refrain myself hard at hurling obscenities at this move, no offence Nokia, i still love you.
BUT, you made n900 and left all the buyer with bunch of LIES. You promised fully functional OviMaps, tricking people into buying it, and after a few months announced that the money those buyer paid is not worth your effort.

The n900 was never a phone, it was a MID (ie small computer) with 3g (finally) built in.
Too many people bought a tool meant to drive developer interest in a platform, not built for “you’re average user”.
The fact it came with a terminal emulator in the applications list by default highlights the fact that Nokia never meant this phone for anyone other than technophiles with a keenness to fiddle with it to their heart’s content.

So another half baked, slow updates and poor support phone just as N900 was.

I am not buying into that anymore… I am done with Nokia. Have been a fan for many years but my gripes started when they decided to create their own Python bindings and totally re-invent UI with their Harmattan only to then half bake Python and relegate it as a step child of the whole grandiose programming environment only to, AGAIN, ditch stuff for Windows.

I am going with Google. Seems that they know what they want…
