It feels like a slap in the face not letting the general public get to play with the N950.
At last someone has produced what could be the perfect qwerty slider ever.
Imagine the smug satisfaction we could have had, tapping away on that spacious keyboard while actually being able to read what we were typing on that hypnotically large screen. And to cap it all off the screen and keyboard are enclosed in that beautifuly designed minimalist, classy and stylish aluminium body.
Maybe in the future Nokia is planning to release a version of the N950 on WP7 ?
(if they do a 12mp camera with xenon flash and a good macro/ document reader would be nice additions) – GET THE HINT NOKIA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The N9 and N950 both look amazing, but Nokia has seriously let me down with its failure to find a suitable operating system to their phones. I really hope Nokia can work well with Windows OS and release great phones once again. Hardware on nokia phones has always been great, now they need that last piece of the puzzle the proper OS to keep up with the competitors. I really do hope that the N9 or N950 are released later on with the Windows OS or even better a new updated version of Meego which doesnt seem likely since Nokia has abandoned it, but one can dream. It looks like ill have to stick to my N8 for a while.

Does anyone know anything about the developer program? I’m starting to work on MeeGo apps and have signed up on Nokia’s site. I’d like to buy an n950 as soon as they’re available.

I guess operators didnt want this, they wouldnt have imagined N9 would be received well in market and so did other manufacturer players who didnt join meego then. Most operators would have dismissed this.

Wait no support? so basically buying a device that if a chance a little keyboard bricks the phone(it happens with bad coding) there no support at all. Its a shame the MeeGo platform started with one of the best keyboard phones and Nokia whats to abandon it. N9 is nice and all but seriously every MeeGo lover was waiting for a N900 succeser not a Ipod Nano slate phone.

I am way beyond disappointed. I am pissed. How dare they so vehemently speak out against hardware keyboards and input devices three years ago, and then do a complete 180 and now REFUSE their fans hardware keyboards on their most innovative device.

Fire up the old typewriter, I’m going on a letter-writing rampage.

HDMI out +N9 +HW keyboard would’ve been amazing.
