Buyer beware. As an owner of an N900, Nokia burned us with horrible SW and long-term support promises. The hardware is good in design, less so in reliability of actual production. I’d never buy another Nokia Linux phone. The phone had so much promise but Nokia just took me for a ride. Shame on you Nokia .
Analyst Ben Wood had it right when he described Nokia “as wandering around in a dream for years”

Well, don’t expect perfection except from the hardware standpoint. It’s a dev platform so it’s likely to have its quirks!

From the multitude of videos and all the writings of the N900 it was an awesome device even though Nokia took for ever to make it available to the masses. If the N9 running MeeGo is as solid a device and a work horse as the N900 and with great improvement in soft ware and hardware then it might be a hit world wide since it will have all the five 3G bands and also four GSM bands. I love Nokia and had the original N95 and N95 8Gb b4 joining Androids army. Lets see what they’ve been cooking…
