Nokia - the amazing everyday flat battery !!

Im glad I dumped my Lumia 800 for a Galaxy S2, not only is the Galaxy faster, the battery lasts well over a day. The Nokia was flat before the end of the day :(

All I could get with my Windows Phone was 4 hours !!! and that was using it lightly.

I think this is the FOURTH patch to fix this issue..................I think Nokia needs a class suit to sort this.

Good news to know they are working on the issue.

I recently purchased a new Nokia Lumia 800, after having has an iPhone 4 previously. I love my new Nokia Lumia 800, running the Windows Phone software. With the notable exception of the severe battery life issue I give the phone about a 9 out of 10, it is at least on par with with the iPhone 4, and in some respects better.

However, I have discovered that the battery life is appalling! I charge the phone all night, and use the phone for my normal business usage during the day, and come about 4 or 5pm, the phone is running very low on battery. I then need to charge it again, as soon as I get home. On battery life, I rate this phone a 1 out of 10.

This is a dreadful shame, because it is otherwise a fantastic piece of machinery! If Nokia sorts the battery problem, Nokia should be able to place themselves back into the top selling place with this great phone, above Apple and Samsung. But without the battery life issue getting sorted, this phone will likely go nowhere!

This just highlights how rushed this product release was to save face with the strategy change by Elop.
These issues have left a trail of dis-satisfied customers in the wake of the WP7 phone releases by Nokia.
Potential corporate customers must be cringing at this, and holding firmly on to their Blackberries !
