The N81’s are a couple of very nice looking media phones. One has 8GB of integrated storage, the other has a microSD card slot supporting up to 4GB of storage. They both have A2DP Bluetooth support as well as a 2.4 inch QVGA display.

Nokia N81

They can both take up to 2MP JPEGs. Most importantly they support the N-Gage gaming experience, it went from a single handheld to a platform.

Video playback is from RealPlayer and can be played full screen in MPEG-4, H.264/3GPP, and RealVideo 8, 9, or 10. Music playback supports MP3, AAC, AAC+, eAAC+, WMA, and M4A as well as playlists and an equalizer.

There is a Navi wheel for navigation through the interface, standard email protocol support including Push support. WLAN with VoIP support and synchronization. Just like most Nokia’s it looks great, and has a big screen whether you use it for gaming or for video. It all comes at a price though, the N81 8GB will hit you at 430 Euros with the regular N81 coming in at 360 Euros shipping at Q4 this year.
