You’re preaching to the choir — I was fanatic about Maemo (more so than about Nokia, but they kind of went together). I am honest when I ask SG to not write about Nokia, I feel almost physical pain when I think how the Maemo community was betrayed. I have spent much more time with TMO than at any other online community… three days ago the site asked me for a login, I probably had not logged in for a couple of days… never happened before… it feel like I have lost a friend… Who are the good guys now?

I had an N900 for a while and I really enjoyed the community that built up around it. It was fun to see what they came up with in terms of development, and the device was really well built. I got caught up in the 4G hype and switched to a G2, which i like, but which now feels boring and I don’t feel the same community with the HTC brand as well as with Android. I also have a Galaxy Tab, so I kind of already have the needed apps available to me.I feel more value with the Nokia brand because whenever I bug them about something they are very responsive. Other than that, I really can’t say anything other than I want to root for the current underdog. Can’t really lose with it, and it is a comfortable investment. Very much a personal inclination.I just want to feel good about where I put my money, kind of like those who fought tooth and nail for the Adam.

This is just great. Instead of producing a tablet, Nokia patents a design. How the hell is that useful?

Please SG, stop posting Nokia news. So much fail, after so many hopes, is hard to bare…
