Nokia 800 Windows Phone first press shots leak

The first official press shots for the Nokia 800 Windows Phone 7.5 Mango smartphone has leaked. The device has long been rumored with the codename "Sea Ray" and looks near identical to the Meego-powered Nokia N9, which was released in very limited markets. The device is expected to be unveiled at next week's Nokia World conference and we'll be there to bring you all the details.

The Nokia 800 appears to feature the same form factor and color selection as the Nokia N9, sporting a pillow-shaped chassis with a front side fully covered by a 3.7-inch display under Gorilla Glass sans any physical buttons. The chassis comes in black, blue, and pink. If other specs are similar to the N9 as well, then the Nokia 800 could also be touting a nice camera with Carl Zeiss optics.

We'll find out for sure soon enough, as the device is among three of the first Windows Phone 7.5 Mango handsets expected to be unveiled by Nokia at next week's event. The other two handsets are 4.3-inch models and include the Sabre and the Ace. With all the recent major releases from the iPhone 4S to the Motorola DROID RAZR and the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, it'll be interesting to see how Nokia and Windows intend to compete.
