NoYes

Microsoft will stop the development of its Windows Media Player for Mac’s OSX; instead they will make a special codec that will allow Apple’s own software play Windows Media Files. The decision was made due to the main development focus on its new version of windows and not Mac’s software. This will be a positive thing since the current version of WMP has not been updated for a long period of time and Mac users will prefer to use QuickTime instead of an outdated WMP.
