OMG…yes….we need RETINA display on the iPad! The iPad is truly great and the 2 is a nice improvement.
Retina would be amazing, but the iPad 2 was just recently announced, let’s talk about the iPad 2, actually regularly use the iPad 2, what’s cool and amazing, what’s we don’t like, just get the full impression of what the device does…

Isn’t there also rumblings that Apple is attempting to move it’s entire category of mobile “i” devices to a single release date? It’s also thought that will be round November sometime for the Christmas market. Should this be true, it probably won’t happen this year, but next year. But since that will be roughly 18 months before a new iPad comes out in that case, my guess is that there may be a mid-life refresh for the iPad 2 early next year, maybe February. Like the iPad 2S or something. The iPad 3 will then come out in time with all other “i” devices. This is all just speculation, but interesting.
