I can see a touch screen controller being handy, if its the size of an iPod. But that huge thing that they are demonstrating sucks. I'd like to be able to flip through items without having to interrupt what is on the main screen, or have a second screen for a map, that doesn't interrupt the action. These can only be accomplished on a touchscreen (well, the way I'd want them). This concept would be most handy for rp games like anything from Bioware, or Final Fantasy games, or even Zelda games (I believe they did show an example from Zelda). But again, that controller is just too big.

It seems cool and everything but why...why do people need a touchscreen controller. I mean all the action is going on on the tv. Next thing they'll think of is oh well if we can make a touch screen controller then why do our systems need to connect to other company's TVs well just put a tv screen on the console. And the pricing for this console is probably going to be so high that the only people that are going to buy it will be the rich and the stupid.

What I want to know is, will it function like a cell phone? Will I be able to bring the controller to work like a handheld system and be able to play online with it? That would be an awesome feature. Nintendo has done the handheld system-as-a-controller once before with their Gameboy advance connected to a Game cube.

I love this, and hate hte Kinects laggy uselessness. XBox is fine
console, perhaps the best in this gen, but Kinect is just stupid,
laggy, onrails, "get the coins!" -party BS. Its just the same, what
people bitched the Wii for, but now with lag.
