Nintendo to offer blue Wii in Mario & Sonic 2012 Olympics game

Oct 11, 2011

If you are a big fan of special edition bundles, the Nintendo Wii is getting a cool bundle to celebrate the 2012 London Olympic games. The bundle will be offered in Europe only and is more of a place blue than a dark Sonic blue hue. The bundle is the Mario & Sonic at the London 2012 Olympic Games. It's worth noting that this is a Wii model with no GameCube support.

The Wii bundle comes with a Wii Remote and a nunchuck that is color matched in the same blue. The bundle will probably sell well with London in the midst of Olympic fever. I would bet that we would see a bunch more bundles coming soon. Bundles sell well during the holidays.

This game reminds me more than a little of the old school Track and Field game from back in the original Nintendo days. The bundle is limited edition and exactly how many will be made is unknown. I wonder why Nintendo rarely releases special bundles in the States. It seems every time I see one its Japan or Europe only.
