For a character created back in the 80′s, you have to admit that he’s doing pretty well for himself. Once Mario Kart Wii comes out, he’ll have been in three new titles in six months. I’d say that’s pretty damn good for a character that old. He’s not done yet though,we’ve just received word from Nintendo on the next Mario title.

Mario Super Sluggers for the Wii is as you would imagine, a Mario-themed baseball game, much like Mario Superstar Baseball. I’m probably missing something, but this plumber has played golf, baseball, tennis and raced go karts. At least we know how he keeps in shape after all these years.

We don’t have a lot of information just yet, however, we can imagine that it will be something of a mashup between Mario Superstar Baseball and the baseball game included in Wii Sports. No word on when we can expect to see Mario make his return to the diamond.
