I’m loving my 25th Ann. Zelda Edition 3DS, but i have to say i’m still more pumped for the Vita, mainly due to the dual analog sticks…
Just itching for some Animal Crossing 3DS though!!!

NPD only count US sales. The original DS has sold >145 million units worldwide since launch… not 50 million. Clarification is needed showing that the numbers referenced in the article are for the US market alone, discounting the EU (and others) where the device is selling even stronger.

Actually, I just looked again, and you were even more wrong than I thought. You were looking at worldwide shipments. This article is about US sales. Sorry, but Nintendo’s not lying. :)

Nice try, but they’re telling the truth. You’re looking at the DS’s shipments if you’re talking about the financial results. This article is talking about actual sales from November 2004 to November 2005 (which also means that you counted an extra month). NPD results show that what Nintendo is saying is right. Sorry, but 3DS hasn’t failed yet.

Either Nintendo is lying about the sales, or the writer didn’t do their research, but if you look at Nintendo’s financial results, they sold over 2 milllion from November to December 2004, so of course the 3DS out since early this year would pass it, as it had nearly 1 year, while the original had 2 months! If you look at full financial results released in December 2005 for the 12 months of sales for the original DS, it was over 6 million, so the 3DS is FAR from passing the original’s sales.
