Dumb ass... What antennae issues?!! That problem was corrected after the first generation of iPhone 4's hit the market. I have no such issues with my iPhone 4.

And to the morons who think the iPhone's camera is superior you have got to be kidding! Amazing phone, retina display is off the charts; but the WORST camera ever!!! I LOVE my iPhone but sadly, the camera is admittedly crapola!

I'm loving my nexus - my first droid.

My biggest issue so far is the volume buttons. As a lefty, my thumb is constantly hitting the volume while just holding it. Wish I could lock those keys.

It runs a little hot, which worries me. Hope this doesn't have long term ramifications.

I played with the HTC MyTouch 4G for an hour and was drooling over it. The T-Mobile staff was very insistant that the Nexus S was not a good phone and that it was a complete failure. After cleaning up my drool, I ventured over to Bestbuy to play with the Nexus S. It was far superior to the MyTouch 4G in my opinion. It was very responsive and had no custom software running on top of the 2.3 Gingerbread. It rendered pages and GPS loaded directions much quicker than on the 4G despite only running on the 3G network. I'm going to buy this phone when my contract expires at the end of January (2011). I can't wait. I rate this phone a 9 out of 10.

I bought the Nexus S from Bestbuy last week I used it for 3 days and reutrned it for a full refund. It kept getting hot and turning off (I mean rebooting) after talking for only about 6 mintues into my conversation. This happened on every phone call lasting more than 6 mintues, the phone was very warm. It seems to be no better than the Nexus One which was build with better material the Nexus S feels like plastic junk. I thought the MyTouch 4G was better than the Nexus S.

iPhone's UI is pretty but far from as functional than that of Android. Retina display vs SAMOLED? Yes, as far as the specs go the Retina Display is better however, given the fact that the pixel density is higher than what the human eye can perceive the SAMOLED display is just as good. The iPhone antenna issues ARE an issue. Other phones may have the same type of problems but if I'm never in the situation to notice it, who cares? Android apps dont take advantage of multitasking in an appreciable way? That's the developers fault. ROM size? iPhone's may be larger sure and I"m happy Apple gave as much as they did. I know at least two dozen iPhone user and not a single one of them has more than 5-6GB of data on their phones and unless you pack it with high quality video you probably wont and in that situation I would ask why do you need that much video on your phone? I personally would watch video on my laptop, desktop or TV.

The only point to which I can agree is no 4G (or 3.9g really) and the cheap feeling body.

Well aside from me simply disagreeing with your comment, which I won't get into, to each his own, but the 4G on T-Mobile isn't at all 4G, they just updated their network to something faster than 3G but not by very much, and it's been around for a while and no phone manufacturer seems to want to take advantage of it before the G2, because where I live it's been around, just not in use... anyway, instead of making a leap into a 4G network they just put out something... well arguably decent, and pegged a "4G" label onto it because people will flock to it because of this label; it's a glorified marketing gimmick, and the reason that Samsung didn't take advantage of this "T-Mobile" network is, to my thinking, anyway, because they want to take the phone global, not just within the US, so it's more to make things accessible everywhere than anything.

Also, I find it kind of ironic that you seem to put down the Nexus S for not having expandable memory, yet seem to proclaim the iPhone superior, yet it has no expandable memory... I know you state for other reasons, but still, ironic in a sense...

And, wouldn't it be kinda unfair to say that Google doesn't take advantage of a dual-core chipset, when it's not really.... on the market yet?

I tried out the phone for 30 minutes at best buy. It is the greatest android phone that i've ever used, and I've used some of the best (Nexus One, Droid X, Samsung Galaxy S, Droid Incredible, Evo 4G). This phone doesn't need 4G, its rendering is fast enough for me already. It doesn't need an SD card, 16GB is plenty for me (I just need like 10). It doesn't need HD recording, the 480p at the high framerate and software noise cancellation it delivered was enough for me. The biggest good is the clean android. On most of the front line android phones i've tried, the one and only real problem i've had is the custom UI. It makes it unstable, too flashy, too much of an iphone imitator (I'm talking to you, Touchwiz). It makes it sluggish. It delays updates to the phone for as much as months. The look gets tiring after a while. It gives carriers the opportunity to put bloatware on it. I can go on.

The Nexus S is what i've been waiting for...EXCEPT ITS NOT ON VERIZON! MAKE A CDMA VERSION!!!

the antenna issues are a major pain.
a side by side comparison pisses at my iphone4. I am able to browse on iPhone3g but the 4 wouldn't connect to the internet. i have never got dropped calls on att before i got the 4.
the only bad things i see about this (S) are the probability that tmo is not any better than att & the tmo plan is 80 bucks. And my proximity sensor sucks. I am always having to use earphones for fear of muting during a call. The 4 is a fail (in terms of design, testing and arrogance on the part of apple in not accepting the fault and replacing affected handsets). The one thing I do appreciate about the 4 is the battery life. It rocks. Android is no where near what I am looking for (nor is it as good as iOS) but for now, I want a phone to first function as a phone.

The Nexus S’ display supports 16.7 million colors and 800×480 pixels. Though that’s the same resolution as the Nexus One, Samsung’s display offers a few advantages thanks to its Super AMOLED status (HTC’s display was just AMOLED). more tablet info and smartphone tech at http://www.mobile10.org btw Samsung is highlighting the Nexus S’ “contour” design in its promotional materials. To you, that means that the front of the device is slightly concave. The idea is to make it more comfortable to hold the phone against the side of your head

GPS issues, cheap plastic body, no SD card, no 4G on T-Mobile (really?). I don't get how tis is the best or flagship Android device other than Gingerbread which is still a much poorer UI than the iPhone 4. Also there is no way this screen is as good as the iPhone 4 and I've seen and used them both.
As to dual core the OS and apps have to be written to take advantage of dual core and Android doesn't do that yet. Most Android apps do not take advantage of multi-tasking in any appreciable way.
The iPhone 4 has a much better camera too. iPhone antenna issues are not really issues as anyone who is paying attention knows. The keyboard and cut and text selection are not as good as the iPhone either. Your average user will be much happier with an iPhone plus they can get a 16 or 32GB iPhone.
Since I have an iPhone 4 and a Droid X I was thinking i might get one of these to get Gingerbread to replace the Droid X but the negatives far outweigh the only positive which is Gingerbread. i really don't understand what Google was thinking.
