Nexus 6 tipped in Android 2.0 Google ad spots

The next generation in Google's Nexus universe is nearly here as the company releases three lovely videos showing the diversity in the Android ecosphere. Making use of the original Androidify app to create an assortment of Android characters, three videos released by Google this week show off how Android isn't just singular. They don't just have one phone for everyone. Sound like they're aiming for a particular competitor with that bit of chatter?

You'll also see Android Wear on the wrist of more than one Android character in these ad spots. Behold, the glory of Whoomp There It Is. Tag Team, back again.

This video comes with a link that reads as follows: https://android.com (slash) betogethernotthesame?brand=Android &utm_campaign=Android2.0. The most important bit in there is the piece that says "Android 2.0" – this very well could be a new age in Android. A new push by Google to advertise Android as a brand like they've never advertised before.

Google has been relatively low key when it comes to spending dollars on showing the public how Android itself is good. They've spent cash on showing off Google Play, Google Glass, and even their Nexus devices. But Android itself? Not so much.

A new campaign to ring in the next generation. And with it a Nexus for good measure. This Nexus 6 will likely follow along with the specifications we've found turned up over the past few weeks. We've already got a whole Nexus 6 tag portal for connections between leaks and early peeks.

Above you'll see the Nexus 6 – full size, of course. In reality this is almost certainly just meant to be a representation of an Android-based smartphone in general, but we can dream.

This is how Google does it. They make with the advertisements. They release the Nexus 6. They show how they have several different devices for sale, all at once. They might even bring out a few more Google Play Edition smartphones or tablets in the near future. Why not?
