Nexus 5 black-and-white model and Nov. 1 announcement date leaked

The Nexus 5 will come in a two-tone, black-and-white version, leaked @evleaks earlier today, and something is happening on Nov. 1. What that something is is anybody's guess, but rumor has it it is the official Nexus 5 announcement date set by Google and LG. Check out the leaked photo and specs after the jump.

The alleged impending Friday reveal shows a black-fronted, white-backed Nexus 5, presumably from Google and LG's marketing materials. The camera lens ring and buttons are also black. This model will be released in addition to the all-black model leaked earlier.

The Nexus 5 has been the subject of a long parade of leaks, rumors and speculation. Hard photographic evidence has been very easy to come by these past few weeks. The first major rumor to surface was the photograph of a Nexus 5 posing in a bar somewhere. By Sept. 26 the flagship smartphone was already so widely leaked that GFXBench was able to rate it on a par with the iPhone 5s in terms of graphics.

Some of the hardware itself was exposed early this month, followed by shell casing blueprints and innards, the device running Android 4.4 KitKat in Italy, more pics from Russia, and a gratuitous "oops" moment when it briefly appeared on Google Play.

An Oct. 18 leak showed the Nexus 5 in its now-mostly-confirmed black-and-white version. Besides looks, all signs point to great specs as well. As mentioned, it will likely be Android 4.4 KitKat-ready, use a 2300mAh battery, run on a Qualcomm modem MDM9215M for upwards of 100 Mbps 4G LTE network speed, have a 5-inch 1080-pixel display, and operate on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 quad-core processor.
