Especially not with an attitude like that! What if all ancient astronomers and star gazers listened to you and focused on milking the local calf because it was a "more immediate" concern? Progress is made over time through observation and testing, not blatant disregard over time. Hell, why send/target Hubble anywhere? Why did we even make it? No point to look over there . .

This is what happens when you let a journalist major write a science article. “A supermassive black hole at the center of galaxy NGC 4889 in the Coma cluster 336 million light years away from us.” Yes? What? I think the author meant to say “has a comparable or larger mass.”
“. . .and the two largest ground telescopes in the world, Gemini North and Keck 2.” They are amongst the largest optical ground telescopes but they are not the largest. Though technology has made the term “largest” a bit difficult to use in an absolute sense, the Large Binocular Telescope (LBT) and The Gran Telescopio would be considered the two largest. However if the Kecks or the European Very Large Telescope were used in interferometer mode they would have a significantly larger light gathering power and resolution capability.
As for how these massive objects are formed is somewhat of a mystery. These super sized black holes seem beyond what can be theoretical formed by gas acclimation. The merging of any, not just “lenticular” galaxies galactic central black holes during mergers seems to be the more probable process of creation.

Why even write about black holes? Does it benefit the Earth in some unknown way? Why even look that far, when we cannot even tell what a planet surface consist of from 600 light years away, let alone 336 million light years away! Our focus is completely wrong!! We will never have to worry about black holes in our life time! It is time we focused our energy, resources and effort a little closer to home.

"The black hole in the center of this galaxy has a mass of about 9.7 billion times that of our sun. That isn’t the largest of the new discoveries though. A supermassive black hole at the center of galaxy NGC 4889 in the Coma cluster 336 million light years away from us."

I'm a terrile writer/reader, so take this with a grain of salt, but you didn't mention how big the other supermassive black hole is. It sounded as if you where leading up to it in the last sentence, but you left it out. Only reason I said anything is because I really would like to know how big the supermassive black hole is in the center of the NGC 4889 galaxy.
