New US wireless carrier may be launching on September 26

A new wireless carrier is reportedly coming to the US on September 26 and it could be called Personalized Wireless. A short ad aired recently hinting at the mysterious new carrier, touting a service that will be different, that will adapt to you, quietly bringing apps, rewards, and "stuff that's just right for you."

The ad doesn't provide much in the way of details, but does show a logo shaped like a "C," which suggests it could be a new service from ClearWire or Comcast. Or, it may be another mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) like Boost Mobile, which resells wireless service under its own brand, but doesn't actually own any spectrum.

No specific name was mentioned in the ad, but it's believed that the new carrier will be called Personalized Wireless based off of this landing page with a countdown timer to September 26. It'll be interesting to see just how different and personalized this new service will be. It's always good for consumers to have more choices, especially now with the possible merger of AT&T and T-Mobile.
