Worth Reading?

I’ve been addicted to WoW for some time now. However, much to the displeasure of my fellow guild mates, I’ve managed to stay away from it for the last few months. For those that still haven’t kicked the addiction, how would you like to play on your cell phone?

WoW

Ok, it would be pretty lame to try and do a ZF run on your cell phone, even if it is something with a larger screen like an iPhone. We do know that Blizzard is kicking around an idea for interacting with your game (though it doesn’t seem to name World of Warcraft specifically) from their latest trademark for the term “Battlechat.” Hit the jump for the full trademark description.

IC 038. US 100 101 104. G & S: Virtual network telecommunications services, namely, providing an interface for the electronic transmission of messages and data including voice, text, and message transmission

Serial Number 77370114
Filing Date January 11, 2008

We don’t have anything official from Blizzard on this, and I wouldn’t expect anything in the very near future. If I were a betting man, I’d say that whatever this is, it’ll get rolled out with the Wrath of the Lich King (provided that this is for WoW in the first place).

Does anyone know how to get the trademarking process started? I would like to file a trademark application with the USPTO, but I’m not sure how to get started.
