Nvidia chip owners rejoice! Well, those of you that aren’t trying to use SLI in Vista can rejoice. Nvidia has released what they are calling stable Vista drivers.

Since it’s release, Vista users have complained about the obvious lack of working drivers for Nvidia cards. There have even been rumors floating around about a lawsuit against them because of it.
I currently only use ATI cards, so I can’t really tell you how well the new drivers work. If anyone out there has downloaded these, let me know so I can share your experiences with our readers.

Its not just gamers. I just bought an NVidia BFG 6200 card to prepare for my Vista upgrade, and the thing gives me the blue screen of death within 10 minutes if I try to run anything that uses 3D graphics. Updating to the 2/10 drivers version is no help. It seems to be stable so long as I keep it in the “classic” theme mode (no aero), and don’t try to use the 3d chess game, Windows Media Center, or anything else with advanced graphics. A complete waste of money that I can’t afford. Where is that class action suit?
