Nintendo of America’s VP Perrin Kaplan has confirmed that Wii might be getting hardware revision soon.
A DVD playback support has already been announced for late this year, however Kaplan indicates there will be more than just DVD playback on the new revised Wii.

Many speculate that Nintendo will release new Wii with new colors, increases its internal storage, bundling rechargeable battery, and component cables.

Cool But what about everyone already with a wii!!! Whats gonna happen to us. We deserve DVD playback and a memory boost too. Or many people are going to be VERY unhappy

I just hope that we get firmware updates for DVD playback. Maybe all those who own a wii now they will replace, not. At least for free, $50 for the upgrade wouldn’t be a bad price.

The new colors really look cool. I wish they were out on launch I would have got black to go along with the rest of my electronic gear.
