Apparently memory performance is also up about 15%. Not bad work for a MacBook upgrade, you get a slight processor speed bump, the new graphics chipset thanks to the Santa Rosa platform, and then from there its kind of a ripple effect.

Furthermore the stream performance of the new systems got a 25% jump as well. So, if you were looking at a MacBook for your next computer purchase, now would probably be the time.

Sure, you could wait till MacWorld in January, and hope they come up with something new to release, but probably not. And even if they do, I don’t see what useful features they could add to the MacBook line other than making that all-aluminum MacBook rumor come true.
