With both Microsoft's Windows 10 and Intel's 6th gen Core processors, a.k.a. "Skylake", the time is ripe for manufacturers to show their latest wears touting a combination of those two new technologies. In fact, some already did. Lenovo itself even outed the Lenovo YOGA 900 and the ridiculously huge YOGA 900 Home just recently. Now, however, it's getting a bit down to earth and down the trenches with a more affordable YOGA 700 line that's designed for portability and productivity without burning a hole through your pocket.

The Lenovo YOGA 700 comes in two sizes, an 11-inch and a 14-inch model. In both cases, however, they sport only 1920x1080p resolutions, which is just about right as far as balance between performance and price goes. Those screens are also touchscreens, with 10-point multitouch support. They both also sport Dolby DS1.0 Home Theater for an unforgettable audio experience.

The 11-inch YOGA 700 is meant to appeal to users always on the go. Although Lenovo is still quite coy about some of the specs, the 2-in-1 laptop is noted to weigh only 1.1 kg and is only 15.8 mm thin. It also has a 7-hour battery life, which is quite long as far as portable computers go.

The 14-inch YOGA 700, on the other hand, is geared more towards heavy work load, running on a 6th gen Intel Core i7 and paired with an NVIDIA GeForce 940M. The laptop supports up to 8 GB of DDR3L RAM and up to 256 GB of SSD storage.

The Lenovo YOGA 900 revealed last week was earmarked for the high-end market. In contrast, the YOGA 700 boasts of a more affordable price tag. The 11-inch model will go for $649 while the more powerful 14-inch configuration starts at $799. Both will be available this month.
