My new iPad has never dropped WiFi. EVER.

I can open my mouth and say there are no WiFi issues because I am on WiFi all day and night with no issues.

Sounds like a lot of QQ to me.

My 4G phone used over 26GB of data last month (Grandfathered Unlimited Data) I can only imagine how fast an iPad will consume data on 4G.

I would think about buying 4G LTE ipad if carriers offer unlimited data plan for it. What’s point of getting them if you use up your alloted data plan in as little as 2 days?

I believe there is some serious problem with Broadcom Wi-Fi chip used in new iPad. For LTE it uses a Qualcomm modem which seems to be super fast and working perfectly but looks like Apple make a wrong decision of using Broadcom chip for Wi-Fi.

i got verizon’s promotion for 4GB for the price of 2GB, i mean i run through a gig in 1 week and that’s because I am really cutting down, but i mean i can’t enjoy my device if i have to limit how much YouTube i watch when i’m on the network…

Yea!!! Those touting 4G just don’t get it. A normal broadband connection per month is about 14 to 28 cents a gig. That is for wi-fi in rural areas and land line. Verizon and ATT are trying to sell 4G for $10 a gig. *-P The speeds are not anything to shake a stick at. The speeds are below Verizons fiber, ATTs Uverse and any home or commercial wi-fi methods. A HDTV show recorded from the air on my desktop is appox. 5 gigs. Using 4G, that HDTV show with commercials would cost me $50 to watch on my phunfone. I have never turned on the 4G radio after doing some initial testing. 4G is just too little for too much……

My WiFi seems to work fine.

I am on the 250mb/month data plan because, living in NYC with an iPhone where AT&T’s 3G network, er “network” is (still) atrocious and all but useless…I’ve learned to become almost entirely (>95%) wi-fi sufficient. That being said, I turned the cell network on the new iPad twice VERY briefly, I’m talking mere minutes each time, and I’ve chewed through almost 75mb already (without any video or streaming of any sort).

So be careful!

They should be complaining about the price of data, not the speed that you can get it. What is wrong with these people?

Also, I’d like to complain about some straws I bought the other day. They were WAY to wide. I’m going to sue you, straw company, for making me drink my Surge so fast!!

Some of you are ignorant idiots – how can you open your mouth and say there is no wifi issue? I am experiencing wifi drops, not connecting, slow wifi etc. I have tested with my laptop, iphone4, android tablet ..all works with blazing wifi speed.. And I do have a fast dual band router that has never gave me any problems before.. So don’t blame that!

Now I’m not saying there is or isn’t an issue. The idea is to just keep an open mind and keep a look out. Just because you and your 5 friends aren’t experiencing anything doesn’t mean its impossible for others.

I get 6GB in Canada on my iPhone plan…I’ll wait for the iPhone LTE and tether(free in Canada) to iPad3 Wifi..I wouldn’t pay for an iPad LTE seems like a waste of $130

what the hell is the purpose of an LTE iPad if you only sign up for 2GB? Some Apple users are completely clueless. And why would you stream a video over anything other than Wi-Fi? It’s pretty common sense that if you stream a video over your data, it will chew through.

I’m in total agreement. Just as the rumors swirled prior to its release, the “issues” trolls will abound. I have a new iPad, and so do 5 of my friends. None of us are having any issues, with the exception that that carriers are definitely going to have to come around adjust their data plans. They’re too lean on the data and too high on the price.

The only fraud is this article. Sources please? A few dozen people are having WiFi issue on apple support out of the MILLIONS already sold. Another bait headline. While tech blogs find something to write about, millions of people are getting things done. The TRUTH is that soon all these tech blogs about how to use, tweak, fix, repair, etc your tech are going to be gone soon as usability gets to the point where such things are not necessary. I will miss websites like this with their cynicism and their bait headlines as much as the last buggy whip review magazine.

Not having an issue with WiFi on my new iPad. It sits right next to my Galaxy Tab 8.9 and they both get full signal at a decent distance.

They should try Verizon WiFi Auto-on in the Play Store. Works very well to keep people under the data limit if they have one.
