Oh! the author of this article is at it - Android.Counterclank? I thought that was clarified as not being a malware by the same Lookup you are talking about.

This is news? So if you have enabled “Unknown sources” option in developer tools, ran into one of few compromised sites and by accident went to your downloads, clicked on downloaded APK and clicked Install after confirming that you want your ass raped you are infected.

Right. I wouldn’t call this spreading, I’d say stupid people doing stupid stuff.

I think these companies may be more responsible for the malware and trojans then any hacker. It sure does keep the them up in profits.
