Netflix “Watch Instantly” coming to Tivo too

Tivo DVRs will join Samsung Blu-Ray Players, LG BD300,Xbox 360 and Roku Player to stream Netflix’s online flicks. Both companies have reached an agreement to deliver an online library of 12,000 Netflix movies and TV shows though Tivo DVR set-tops, which includes Tivo S3, Tivo HD and Tivo XL.

The companies have begun its beta testing today, and expected to make it available to TiVo compatible Set-top Boxes in December. There will be no extra charge for TiVo subscribers with Netflix’s unlimited subscription plans, which start at $8.99 a month.

With availability of compatible hardware and software apps such as Windows and soon to support Macs via Microsoft Silverlight, Netflix is set for the online-streaming service. The question is who will be next in line for the Watch Instantly? AppleTV?
