Last weekend, I thought there was something wrong with my Internet connection or my LG Smart TV. It turned out that the culprit was the idea of putting all their data in one data center. Natural events or disasters are inevitable. Backing up is a standard practice in IT or non-IT companies depending heavily on IT equipment and Internet connection.

Woot.com was out too and the funny part of that is that they were acquired by Amazon back in 2010. So they can’t even keep their own sub companies up and running. You would think that they would have given them a little more redundancy considering that they own them so any money they make, makes Amazon money too.
